Music that gives back.

Playing for a Future is a band of professional musicians who believe music should be shared, not shelved. We play classical music with purpose—on stage, in schools, and in the spaces where it can do the most good. What started as a simple idea—bring world-class music to young people—has grown into a movement. Through concerts, workshops, and community projects, we aim to pass on what we’ve learned and light that same spark in others. Our approach is personal, direct, and rooted in the belief that music can open doors and change lives.

We play to inspire—and to keep the music going.

Meet the Ambassadors

  • Felix Peikli

    Clarinet / Artistic Director

Felix is the heartbeat of Playing for a Future. An internationally acclaimed clarinetist and bandleader, he brings both world-class artistry and a deep commitment to giving young people access to music. Offstage, he’s often mentoring, arranging, or dreaming up the next big idea.

  • Ingrid Lohne

    Violin / Education Outreach

Ingrid connects the dots between music and community. With a background in both performance and pedagogy, she leads our workshops, helps develop our youth programs, and performs with the warmth and precision that defines the group.

  • Jonas Evensen

    Cello / Composer-in-Residence

Jonas brings a fresh voice to the ensemble—literally. He composes original pieces inspired by young musicians and frequently arranges classical works to suit our evolving lineup. Expect the unexpected when he’s on stage.

  • Maria Alvestad

    Piano / Coordinator

Maria is the glue that holds things together—on stage and off. Her playing is subtle and strong, just like her ability to keep rehearsals running smoothly and events ticking on time.

  • Emil Winger

    Percussion / Community Projects

From marimba to cajón, Emil adds rhythm and heart. He also leads music projects in schools and local spaces, helping kids discover their own beat.

  • Sofie Ravn

    Soprano / Vocal Lead

Sofie brings storytelling to life through voice. Trained in classical and contemporary vocal technique, her performances are full of emotion, clarity, and strength. Whether leading an aria or blending with the ensemble, she brings a human touch that resonates with audiences of all ages. When she’s not on stage, she’s often guiding young singers through their first performances.
